moments

luckily enough for me i still get to live for summer. the sunshine, the kids, hanging out with friends, staying up late… who doesn’t love summer? then comes fall and winter and the sun seems to hide, kids are gone, friends back to school, jobs and the like. and i’m still here… in the quiet, in the gray, wet, and cold. at times i almost forget why i stick around and then there are moments when i’m reminded… usually it’s looking out at the lake or tickling leina or laughing at Shea & Jeremy singing some ridiculous made up song and sometimes it’s just there in my heart. and i know i’m not alone. not really.
