i can’t believe i last left you before christmas! i am very sorry! the holidays were so much fun and then all of a sudden January came and we hit the ground running and then all of a sudden it’s half way through February! so many things have happened that this will be a pretty bulky post but still fun to fill you in.
so let’s see… it was just before christmas…
Christmas Eve was spent with lots of friends, food and fun. I spent the entire holiday break with my “alternate reality” family. We spent days playing games, reading, hanging out in the backyard playing badmitten, eating with friends and lots of laughter.
Lori & Dave, Toby and Alex French and one Logan Eyestone
In case you missed it this is a very artistic family. Lori teaches hs drama, oral interp, speech and directs shows. Dave is the hs art teach and creates many a prop. Alex and Toby are currently in our production of Annie and Logan (who I had in my 7th grade drama class in 2007) is now a Tech monkey. the very helpful useful kind of monkey 🙂 So our Christmas celebrations would not be complete without, yes, our very own Christmas pageant.
Joseph riding the donkey while his pregnant wife walks?
A very old? shepherd? no, Simeon i think…
Joseph is not afeard of the angels!
King Herod
In the end, the true reason for our celebration was abundantly clear, the birth of our savior.
Christmas!
New Years Eve (aka the city goes up in smoke)
Don’t take me word for it. Our normal view of the city…

Talent Night
Each year the Junior Class puts on Talent night as their big fundraiser. About a week and half after getting back to school we had the task of making the show happen. I participated in several ways as you can see. It was a lot of work and a lot of fun.
“Take Five” – SSSSooooo fun!
“Show Off” – quite literally ;o)
Birthday TIME!
My alternate family, the Larsons, the Gregorys and the Kuhlows all made a special dinner and hung out with my for my birthday. It was a such a fun time with lots of laughs.
This is just the tip of the iceburg of the last 2 months. Behind these highlights are classes, Beulah promotions, Faith Academy promotions, Annie auditions, Outdoor Ed preparations… so much it’s hard to even list everything and that only takes us through January!! There is plenty more to come including the week I just spent with the middle school on our 2011 Outdoor Education week at Taal Volcano. Have you ever hiked into an active volcano? I have!
Life is crazy busy and flying but it’s amazing to see God’s provision and blessing through it all. Thank you for your prayers and financial support.
I will leave you with a few ways you can continue to pray….
- I need a vehicle. My roommate and I get along really well but have very different schedules with early morning and late nights making it difficult for us to continue to just go to and from school together. It also makes me unable to spend time with students and other ministries outside of school.
- There seems to be a lot of cold/general sickness going around right now. Pray for the health of our community.
- We are full swing into our production of Annie. Pray that we would glorify the Lord through all of the process.v
